Dear Resident,

We are appealing for information following a robbery that occurred on Saturday 1st August 2026 at approximately 3:40pm on Norman Road, near the alleyway leading towards Broadoak Oasis Primary School.

It was reported that three young male offenders, one of whom was carrying a large machete, threatened a 17-year-old male and stole his bicycle. The offenders then made off along the footpath connecting Norman Road, Hall Road and Pollitt Avenue.

The stolen bicycle was later recovered after being discarded in Cedar Park.

We understand incidents of this nature can cause concern within the local community. While this was an isolated incident, we recognise the impact it may have on residents and parents in the area. Officers are carrying out enquiries and are committed to identifying those responsible.

We would encourage residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to police.

CCTV and Witness Appeal

We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between 3:00pm and 4:00pm and may have seen anything suspicious.

If you live on or near:

Please check any CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcam footage for anything that may assist our investigation.

Even footage showing individuals travelling to or from the area could prove valuable.

Offenders are described as;
Offender 1 - White male, 5ft 6in, approx 19yrs, long straight hair, black cap worn backwards, light grey tracksuit top and bottoms.
Offender 2 - White male, approx 19yrs, long hair wearing a black bobble hat with red stripe, black top and black pants
Offender 3 - Black male, approx 19yrs, afro type hair, purple t-shirt with black and grey two tone jacket, black and grey tracksuit pants.
